Here's the start of my story, i still need a name for her. if you have any advice i'd be happy to hear it:
As i sit in the trees, watching the small farm house, I get the feeling that my breath is unaturaly loud. This worries me for if I was discovered the outcome would not be good, the villagers do not aprove of my kind. In there minds I am an abomonation, an unatural creature to be feared.
my troubles began at birth, the fact that i was pale and light haired was odd enough, but what really scared people out were the small wing buds on each shoulder blade. The villiger kept me only long enough for me to learn to fend for myself, then i was turned out into the forest to live out my days alone. As i grew so did my wings, they turned from small buds to a wingspan that was ten feet across by the time i was nine. When i stopped growing at fourteen, my wings did not. They did not in fact stop growing untill they were fifteen feet accross, they were covered in soft grey and white feathers. I was very short, and if i do say so myself, rather striking. With my high cheekbones, soft skin, and piercing violet eyes, my face is not one you would easily forget.
The reason i was watching the farmhouse was to get one of those rare glances of my mother. I think one of the reasons i was so looked down upon was the fact that no one knew who my father was, that is except my mother, who would doubtless take it to her grave. My mystery father is most likely the reason i am so unusual. He was undoubtably the same as me, and that is probably why my mother never told any one his identity.
I have daudled to long and the sun is sinking, I have seen no sign of my mother, again. I turn and tuck my wings tight to my back, and race through the trees. I jump from branch to branch so fast the sticks and leaves blur into the backround. As i step onto a branch i feel it start to give way, I try to jump to a new branch but im to late. I hurtle towards the earch, trying to unfurl my wings, but the wind is rushing by too fast and they are pinned to my back. I see the ground rushing towards me, and have the sense to tuck my chin and relax, knowing the damage will be worse if im tense.
